10th Annual P.A.C.E Luncheon Provides Palm Beach County Students with Opportunity to Meet Business Leaders – The 10th annual P.A.C.E luncheon is unlike any other event at the Business Development Board. In partnership with The School District of Palm Beach County, more than 100 Palm Beach County High School students and their teachers lined the outer walls of the West Palm Beach Marriott ballroom with tables, posters, computer programs and photos — all showcasing their educational efforts while Palm Beach County business leaders took time to meet students and talk about their schools and future plans.
Special gifts from sponsor Office Depot were generously given to each of the participating students. The excitement began with a special student motivational seminar by David B. Rutherford, former US Navy SEAL, author and motivational speaker of Team Froglogic.com. The Business Development Board’s President and CEO Kelly Smallridge had two special announcements about Palm Beach County’s growing business community— expansions of Topline Printing & Graphics in Riviera Beach and Royal Electric in West Palm Beach. Keynote speaker Rick Caldwell, President of RCultures addressed the assembled business leaders and students with an innovative and thought provoking presentation.
City Of Hollywood
On May 7, 2009, the seventh Annual Strategic Plan Workshop was held at the Hollywood Beach Culture and Community Center. This half-day event attended by over 220 employees was geared toward sharing new ideas and celebrating our accomplishments. The Steering Committee invited guest speaker, Mr. Rick Caldwell from RCultures, Inc. to address the group. Mr. Caldwell delivered to our employees an important message that was truly enjoyable and interactive. Employees who attended this presentation left with the tools necessary to increase awareness, knowledge and skills required to function effectively in the context of cultural differences.
Diverse: Our Core Values series, will continue this week. At Pines, as I mentioned, will be the Value of Community. At our Hollywood and NoMi campuses, we will have a message on Mission. Let me tell you, you guys at the other campuses are in for an incredible treat. Rick Caldwell, one of our members and head of our Welcome Team in Pines, is speaking on Mission. He is the founder and President of RCultures, which is a company that provides diversity training, and other sources of relational training to corporations, and government organizations. He delivered this message to our staff about six months ago, and I asked him then if he would speak on Mission this week. You’ll love him. Pines will get to hear him next week.
